Butter Pecan
Ice Cream Recipe

Butter pecan ice cream is consistently listed among the top 5 most loved ice cream flavors.

Easy Butter Pecan Ice Cream

The Verdict

Usually not being a big fan of this ice cream flavor, I wanted to see what everyone was raving about…but I was skeptical about making this homemade ice cream.

So I pulled out my Cuisinart ice cream maker to churn out some Butter Pecan.

Much to my surprise, I loved it…and my family has ordered me to make it again!

The buttery ice cream base is wonderful and pairs beautifully with the pecans.

The pecans give the ice cream a bit of texture.

It turned out wonderful.

What is Butter Pecan Ice Cream?

This ice cream is delicious because the ice cream base is a delicious buttery flavor.

Combine this with chopped pieces of pecans and you get this delicious ice cream flavor.

Pecans

You’ll need chopped pecans for this recipe.

If you only have pecan halves, no worries, they’re easy to chop.

Food Processor

You can put the pecan halves in a food processor and pulse. Continue to pulse until your pecans are chopped to the desired size.

Ziploc Bag

If you don’t have a food processor, simply put the pecan halves in a plastic Ziploc bag.

Let the air out and seal.

Place bag on a firm surface and pound with a rolling pin. Continue until pecan pieces are adequately chopped.

Don’t put pecan halves in the ice cream as they will be too big of a chunk to enjoy in the ice cream. If they are too big, they may also damage your ice cream maker.

Serving Tip

Serve with additional chopped pecans and a dollop of whipped cream.
