A cotton candy ice cream recipe? Seriously?

Yes! I just had to try it!

Cotton Candy Ice Cream Recipe

The Nostalgia of and Love for Cotton Candy

Okay! Let me just say I love cotton candy. Perhaps its the nostalgia of childhood memories.

I was mesmerized by the feeling of the candy melting away in my mouth. I think that feeling was half the addiction of the treat for me.

It wasn’t until I became an adult that I met someone who didn’t like cotton candy. They compared it to dryer sheets. Haha! I can see the texture comparison so it made me laugh. I hope that didn’t spoil your appeal for this fun treat!

So now, we can change this candy into an ice cream!

With this grand flavor, I can bring back the memories of childhood, fairs, and festivals.

Cotton candy it’s a favorite treat of kids – one that they can’t get enough of! Why not surprise your youngsters with an extra special treat this summer – cotton candy served ice cream style!

Add a little fun to your ice cream making and give it a try!

Make Your Own Cotton Candy Syrup

This recipe calls for cotton candy syrup – however – if you can’t find any syrup – we’ll show you how to make your own.

So, please don’t pass up giving this ice cream a try if you don’t have the syrup.

Homemade cotton candy syrup works pretty well, however, it doesn’t produce that perfect cotton candy flavor that a high quality store-bought syrup would.

Easy Cotton Candy Ice Cream

Coloring Cotton Candy Ice Cream

What was your favorite cotton candy? The blue or the pink?

I loved the blue the best.

Sometimes cotton candy vendors make the blue and pink the same flavor – but some give your taste buds a treat.

The pink is vanilla and the blue is blue raspberry. So when you buy your cotton candy syrup – be sure to check if there is a flavor.

If you want your ice cream to look more like cotton candy, be sure to dye the ice cream blue or pink.

If you can find some neon on food coloring that will work the best.

Now it will also have the look of cotton candy!

So have fun and enjoy!
