Does the Carvel Franchise sound like a great business venture? Read more below to find out!

On July 14, 1906, Tom Carvel (born Athanassios Karvelas) was born in Greece. He lived there for the first four years of his life, immigrating with his parents to New York City in 1910.

From that humble beginning, Carvel went on to found the their Franchise, which was the first American ice cream retail franchise. Today, Carvel maintains 500 stores and their ice cream is sold in 8,500 American supermarkets.

Carvel Franchise Information

The objective of the Carvel is to maintain a national presence in the sale of Ice cream. The business officially began in 1934 with just a simple truck operated by Tom Carvel, and today, the Carvel ice cream franchise wants to make all Americans to have the opportunity to participate in their franchises opportunities.

Roark purchased this ice cream franchise in 2001, and this has made becoming a member of Carvel significantly easier than ever before. In the time since its purchase, Carvel has grown at a faster pace than at any other time in its history.

Support and Training

Carvel gives all of its franchisees thorough training. From classes taught at Carvel University to going to different franchises to witness first hand the way the various stores are run, you get an in depth education that fully prepares you to operate your own Carvel franchise.

But it does not stop there. While you are operating your business, you receive helpful visits from Carvel representatives, as well as a variety of support ranging from consultations to manuals and recommended operating systems.

What They’re Looking For

The Carvel team is looking for individuals that are not only motivated to succeed but also have a desire to standout in their community. They desire to have franchise partners who want to reach out to their customers and build a community tie with them.

The requirements for joining Carvel are not extensive. There are some financial requirements that need to be maintained, as well as finding experienced restaurant managers. The main requirement is loving your role as owner and trying to make your franchise the best ice cream shoppe that it can be.
