Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

Chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream is not difficult - but it tastes great!

Friends and family will have a hard time believing that it came from your kitchen and not from the store!

Serving Tip: Sprinkle left-over dough as a topping on the ice cream when you serve it or freeze it for the next time you make ice cream!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream Recipe

Prep Time: 20 minutes
Ice Cream Maker Time: Approximately 20-25 minutes
Makes: 1 1/2 quarts
Servings: Ten 1/2 cup servings

Ingredients:

1 cup milk
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup cookie dough shaped into small balls*

Directions:
If you don't have an ice cream maker, click here.

Mix milk and sugar until the sugar dissolves (about 1 -2 minutes - a hand mixer or whisk works well).

Add heavy cream and vanilla extract.

Pour mixture into the ice cream maker.

Mix in ice cream maker about 15-20 minutes or according to manufacturer's instructions.

Meanwhile, prepare cookie dough.*

Add chocolate chips and cookie dough balls to ice cream mixture.

Mix for 5 more minutes in ice cream maker.

1/4 cup sugar
1 cup milk
2 cups whipping cream
1 1/2 - 2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup cookie dough shaped into small balls*

Directions:

Beat eggs for 1-2 minutes so they become light and fluffy.

Stir in a little sugar at a time until all has been added, then whisk for 1 minute.

Stir in milk, cream, and vanilla until completely blended.

Pour into your ice cream maker.

Churn in ice cream maker about 15-20 minutes or according to manufacturer's instructions.

Meanwhile, prepare cookie dough.*

Add chocolate chips and cookie dough balls to ice cream mixture.

Mix for 5 more minutes in ice cream maker.


*Cookie Dough Instructions

Cream butter, sugars, and vanilla until blended.

Add flour and salt.

Stir until well mixed.

Form into small balls.
