Egg Nog Ice Cream Recipe
Custard / Cream Style
This ice cream is a fun spin on my favorite Christmas drink. Naturally smooth and creamy, it'll make a great new Christmas tradition!
Makes 1 1/2 quarts of ice cream.

1/2 cup servings
imitation rum extract
If you don't have an ice cream maker, click here.
Place eggs and sugar in a small bowl and beat well until light and fluffy.
In a medium saucepan, heat milk until it just starts to bubble.
Pour the hot milk over the beaten egg mixture and then stir well.
Pour milk/egg mixture back into saucepan and heat. Stir constantly until mixture becomes thick and begins to stick to the back of a spoon.
Chill for at least 2 hours.
After mixture is chilled, stir in rum and vanilla extracts, and nutmeg. Stir in whipping cream.
Pour the Egg Nog ice cream base into your ice cream maker.
Mix for 25-30 minutes (or according to manufacturer’s instructions).
Enjoy a festive dish of ice cream!
