What can be better than a creamy orange ice cream. Delicious. Keep it simple - just orange - or add shaved chocolate for an extra special treat.

heavy whipping cream

orange juice
bottled or freshly squeezed

lemon juice

orange zest
(optional – gives the ice cream a classy look and taste)

vanilla extract

shaved chocolate

Instructions
If you don’t have an ice cream maker, click here.
Whisk eggs for 1-2 minutes until they are light and fluffy.
Gradually, whisk in sugar, then whisk for 1 minute more.
Add orange juice, whipping cream, lemon juice, orange zest, and vanilla, stirring until completely blended.
Pour this mixture into your ice cream maker.
Mix about 25 minutes or according to manufacturer’s directions.
Add shaved chocolate during the last 5 minutes of mixing, if desired.
