Philadelphia Styleno eggs / egglessThis Sea Salt ice cream recipe churns out a delicious and naturally soft ice cream. Sweet with a hint of salt. Delicious.Makes 1 1/2 quarts of ice cream.
Mix milk and sugar until the sugar dissolves completely. You can use a wire whisk or hand mixer if you want.
Add the heavy whipping cream and the sea salt to taste.
Stir well so salt dissolves.
Pour mixture into ice cream maker.
Churn this ice cream mixture about 25-30 minutes or according to manufacturer’s instructions.
Be pleasantly surprised with this delicious, interesting flavor.
***Helpful Hints: Different sea salts vary in saltiness from other types of sea salts. I used French Grey Sea Salt. Some prefer a more salty flavor and others prefer just a hint of saltiness. Add sea salt according to your taste preference. Also keep in mind that the salt needs to dissolve completely into the ice cream mixture to affect the taste. Stir and give the sea salt a chance to dissolve and permeate the mixture before adding more.
