Snow Ice Cream Recipe

A snow ice cream recipe? Yup! And it's not hard to make! So wait for a fresh snow, gather the ingredients and some friends...and have a blast making yourself a batch of this tasty winter ice cream!We'll show you how to make this ice cream in your own backyard and then we'll give you some ideas on how to make different flavors! After you've got the hang of making snow ice cream...you can come up with some of your own flavors. Serving Tip: When it's time to serve dessert, rather than placing a bowl and a spoon in front of everyone's seat, place their gloves in front of them and announce it's ice cream making time in the snow!
Ingredients:1 cup milk 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 cup sugar 4-5 cups unpacked snow Food coloring Ice cream cones or serving bowls Directions: Mix milk, vanilla, and sugar together in a large bowl until the sugar completely dissolves. Gather some newly fallen snow. Stir the snow and the milk mixture together...stir constantly until it the mixture looks like ice cream.

Flavor Variations:Colored Ice Cream that look like Sno Cones: Stir in a few drops of food coloring! Hot Chocolate Flavored Ice Cream: Instead of the Vanilla, stir in 2 tbsp of cooled hot chocolate! Coffee Flavored Ice Cream: Instead of Vanilla, stir in 2 tbsp of your favorite coffee (cooled)! Ice Cream with Mix-Ins: Stir some of your favorite mix-ins (chocolate chips, cookie crumbs, etc.) into the ice cream!
Tips and Storing:
Ice cream will be the consistency of "soft-serve" when first made. Place in freezer for an hour or two to harden, if desired. Store ice cream in an airtight container in freezer to enjoy later!
