This easy pudding ice cream recipe changes your favorite flavor into a frozen pudding treat! Banana pudding, pistachio pudding, chocolate pudding...any flavor will work.

Because of the pudding mix, this ice cream has a soft and smooth texture.

When we made this ice cream, we used Chocolate Fudge Jello pudding, but any flavor that you're in the mood for will work wonderfully well.

You'll love making this ice cream because it's so easy to do and you don't need a lot of ingredients.

Pudding Ice Cream Recipe

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Ice Cream Maker Time: Approximately 25-30 minutes
Makes: 1 1/2 quarts
Servings: Ten 1/2 cup servings

Ingredients:

1 package (3.5 or 4 oz) instant pudding mix - the flavor of your choice
1/4 cup sugar
1 cup milk
2 cups heavy whipping cream

Directions:

Mix pudding mix with sugar and combine well.

Add whipping cream and stir.

Pour into your ice cream machine and let it do the rest of the work.

Churn about 25-30 minutes or according to manufacturer's instructions.

2 eggs
1/8 cup sugar
1 cup milk
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 package (3.5 or 4 oz) instant pudding mix - the flavor of your choice

Beat eggs with sugar with a whisk. Beat until smooth.

In a saucepan, heat milk over medium heat until bubbles begin to form on top of the milk.

Pour the hot milk over the beaten eggs and lightly whisk together.

Pour this egg and milk mixture back into the saucepan.

Continue to heat over medium heat until the mixture thickens and begins to stick to the back of your spoon.

Chill completely - this will take at least 3 hours.

Once milk has chilled, add whipping cream and combine.

Stir in pudding mix - combining well.

Pour mixture into your ice cream maker.

Allow this to churn for 25-30 minutes or according to manufacturer's instructions.
